cap 1 - number of months between increases?

Howdy,

My history is opened with $49 and got $200 line. have made regular deposits to the CD and then got $300 line increase on the 6th month. At the end of this month, I will have made additional deposits to take line to $3,000.

My question is what are the frequence and time between to expect credit line increases? From what I have read it appears credit increases are rewarded every 6 months ... assuming you are below the 20% utilization and never late and no delinquent bills on the CBR.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you have a secured card. If that's the case I don't believe you'll receive any increases unless you deposit more money. From what I understand they only provide increases for unsecured cards. And that is with keeping your balance around 30% of limit for 6 months straight.

That is correct, however you can request to be denied with a hard pull as often as you like.

Cap1 secured cards max at 3K. It won't ever unsecure so they have your money until you close the card. You can not lower your deposit.

Credit steps for most is a 1 time thing at 6 months. After that it might be 5-10 years before you see another cli from cap1.

They need to make a Cap1 logo'd sock for its customers, because that's where it should live when you get prime cards.
