Highest GE CL youve seen?

I know GE is pretty generous when it comes to CLs but just HOW generous are they? Will they go up to a 6 digit CL eventually or does that rarely happen? My JCP card went from 900 to 2500 in 6 months, so Im not complaining (especially considering it was a soft pull), but Im just curious what the "ceiling" for credit limits on GE cards are. I know theres multiple factors that come into play (income, card usage, etc) obviously, but whats the highest limit youve seen/have?

Im planning an app spree for summer of '13 and will definitely consider a GE card or two if I know that theyre cards that will grow with me longterm. Several years from now I expect all of my tradelines to be 5k+, if not more, so I dont want to be stuck with a GE card that will grow quickly at first but then lag behind my other cards.

I'm not really sure how high it can get to, but my Jcpenney currently has $6500 CL. I'm also curious about your question.

I have 2 cards from gemb with 15k limits. They are store branded mastercards.

I do hear a lot of $15k is as high as it goes

but then you hear or see with a different store they go higher.

I think Sams Discover (especially on Business Side) goes high and will go high fast.

Lowes of course

CareCredit

and I forget the name... ummm...some kitchen/bath place my parents used years ago to upgrade kitchen and master as part of listing on market...

My Lowes is at $16K but I have heard CL higher than 20K

I've seen Gap at $30K

But a few days later Gap acknowledged it was a "system glitch".

How do you get CL lines like this on JCPenny's?? I have a 740 score, and other GEMB cards with $4,000+ CL....I have a CL of.......are you sitting down?.......$124!!!!!

I have a GE Paypal MC with a $15k limit.

I'm guessing the $124 resulted from a CLD due to inactivity?

I just use my card every now and then, nothing too expensive. I bought a belt with that card a month ago LOL. My Walmart currently has $4500 CL.

GE cards seems to have higher CL when linked with Visa or MC

The 124 was the starting CL. I called and asked for a increase, and was told I needed to use it more. I said I dont want to go over a 30% Uti rate, as it will affect my score. The gal said thats the only way you are going to get a CLI......Soooooo, I'll use my other cards!

As long as you pay it down below 10% before the statement cuts, you should be fine. How long have you had the card?
