I have one chase saving account coupon saying if I open a saving account and save 10000, I will get 125usd cash back.

However, this money must be new money which means I can't just transfer my money from checking acc. to it.

My question is, can I take 10000 cash out of my checking account and save it in my saviing account? Does this consider a new money?

Just withdraw your money from your checking account. Deposit the money into another bank's account. From there transfer the money to Chase savings account.

Be careful and check before you do it. Chase had a thing I saw after I opened my account with them. Open a checking acount and recieve 150$, you had to A) have a direct deposit (which i did) and B) make a purchase within the first week or something like that, but it was for NEW chase customers ONLY.

the term looks the following:

this deposit cannot be money held by Chase or its afflicates, nor can the bonus be used as part of the opening deposit.

What I'm afraid of is if I just take the cash from my checking account and save it to the saving account, wounldn't Chase consider that a cheat? :-(

Will need to call chase ask for details.

If you don't have $10k somewhere else, pull the cash out of your Chase checking, wait a week or so, then open the savings account and fund it shortly thereafter. Also keep in mind that you don't need to leave the $10k there after you get the bonus, you can leave just enough to avoid the monthly fee (I think it's only $300). However, the account must remain open for at least 6 months otherwise they can clawback the $125 bonus. Personally, I'm getting ready to move my liquid savings money over to AmEx, which has a 0.85% interest rate. I just wish they had a sign-up bonus too.

BBvacompass has a 100 account credit if you sign up online. I did it just to have another account, you don't even have to have branches near you, as i was able to do everything over the phone. the only thing you can't do, is get a card mailed to you without going into a branch, but you can call their online people and get the account setup online, and still use it for bill pay, and still get your 100 dollars

I can recommend two checking accounts though.

* Charles Schwab Checking account for its debit card. They waive ATM fee regardless of what ATM you are using.

* Alliant Credit Union for its interest rate and ACH transaction (fastest money transfer). You do need to donate to a charity one time for $15 I believe in order to join.

Ally also waives all ATM fees, you get them at the end of the month.
