First Chase Freedom Auto CLI!

I had always read that Chase is not particularly good about giving CLIs, especially automatically, so I was surprised to log into my account and see that my limit was increased from $1000 to $1500! Slowly working my way out of low limit purgatory.

Woohoo!! Gives me hope about my freedom card in the future. Yes that is what I thought from reading this forum ..that the only way to get a cli with them was to take a hard hit or talk the executive number into a soft pull. How long have you had the card? Did you have a balance?

Congrats on your increase!!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling?! I had the same thing happen to me yesterday with Discover.

I hope I get an auto CLI from Chase at the six month mark.

Congrats, how long did you have the card and what was your history like (i.e. run everything through or just a few small charges and PIF each month, etc?)

I got it in mid March so I have had it for about 5 months. I typically would run the balance up to about $800 every couple weeks and pay it in full. The last week, I have been making smaller payments and carrying an interest free balance. I had a balance of about $700 when they gave it to me. I have also used the card very heavily since I got it. I run all my expenses through it.

Same here!! Logged in today and was shocked to see I receieve an auto cli too! Same as yours, I started with $1,000 and now it's $1500. So happy!! I was under the impression that Chase did not give auto cli's so it was a pleasant surprise! Congrats to you too!!!!

Check afbar14's posts / history or maybe he'll see this post and respond in here. He semi-recently got a Freedom (way under a year, thinking like six months or so ago) at a $500 limit and got kicked up to $1500 though not sure if it was auto-CLI or customer-initiated. At any rate I'd look at his timelines and use that as a guideline in your case.
