Hello everyone,

I'm waiting to apply for an AMEX blue cash everyday CC. I was wondering what my odds of approval might be. Here is some info on my credit history according to Experian:

Score: 740
No negative information whatsoever. Except that my credit limit on the one credit card I do have is less than 2,000(1,500) and is at only 16 used.

Like I said one revolving CC account with longest average account length of 3.1 years.

I have 6 total accounts with 3 hard inquires on the report

I just qualified for AMEX gold and green with an instant approval. You have a much higher score and CL. My AAOA is slot longer. I think you will be approved. Good Luck!

did you try their preapproval page? I really feel like Amex pays less attention to absolute score than anyone else, so it is hard to predict who gets what. I'd try the preapproval page first. Then, if there is nothing offered (sometimes because they have never softed your report), I think your scores make a bce a reasonable card to apply for.

Hey guys. I filled out the pre approved screening process info. I was preselected for a few cards including the BC. Allowed for the BC an got approved! Should receive the card in 7-14 days. When will I know the limit of the card?

Also if you already are an amex user, call them and they can overnight your card for free.

If you pulled that score directly from Experian just be aware that it isn't a FICO score. However if your reports are clean as you described then I think you might be able to be approved, although AMEX can be quirky and hard to predict sometimes.
