Someone Tried TO USE My USAA AMEX!!!!!

I just logged into my USAA account online to check the account balance. I noticed there was one ($1) pending authorization pending. I only used my card once to purchase something at Groupon. I need to call them to report lost/stolen cards. Last year, someone tried to do the same thing to my USAA World MC.

Could be from the May breach. Hoping the $1 goes unnoticed to find open accounts. I've had it happen before but with no relation to USAA.

Does it list an address? FWIW, Apple's iTunes (and by extension their Mac App Store) bill from Austin, at least for me... I agree with Cranski that it could be someone fishing around for accounts.

The Merchant is not Apple Inc. It is called Motion Computing Inc. They are located in Austin, Texas. I found their address thru google. They also used my card at match.com according to USAA CSR. It got denied. I just called to block the card and they're going to send me a new card.

I sugguest everyone should keep an eye on their accounts.

I think you should keep an eye on your USAA credit card. Last year, they tried to put test charges on my USAA World MC last year. This year, they did the same year to USAA Amex. They did twice to my Blue.

This really makes me wonder how rampant this is. This is making me second guess getting a CC with USAA.

They did the same thing with my Discover More this past weekend... $1 Groupon charge and $1 Netflix charge too. They cancelled the card and will be sending me another one; coincidentally when I checked the mail today there was a Discover envelope for me, thought it was my card, turned out I got a CLI to $4,000. My first one since I've had this card from September 2010.
