I am considering joining JFCU, and I just noticed they opened a branch in Chicago. Are they a real conservative CU like PenFed or are they pretty relaxed like NFCU? What CRA do they pull? How do they feel about INQ's and recent opened accounts?

I just opened a checking/savings account with them. They pulled Equifax for membership. I read on other boards that they can be very conservative at times. I do not think they are as lenient as NFCU.

Let us know, if you do apply for a loan. Good luck.

So, if I have the opportunity to, I should join JFCU, correct? I was looking at this credit union, since their line of credit goes up to 40K, and reports as an installment loan...I already have NFCU and Penfed is out of the question, since they are too conservative. Penfed being conservative defeats the purpose of joining a credit union.
