Chase Amazon Card - UPDATE: APPLIED AND APPROVED!

Maybe I'm mistaken .. but I was reading here that Amazon card is issued by GE .. right?

Is there another Amazon card that's issued by Chase? I could swear that I've read something about that on the Internet !

Also, what are the requirements for the card? You know .. score .. # of inquiries .. established history .. AAoA .. ?

I shop a lot at Amazon and I'm thinking to apply for the card.

The amazon card issued by GE is a store card only. The Chase version is a VISA. The GE card is easier to get. Chase you need at least 2 cc's reporting a year of positive history and no recent baddies.

Amazon chase is a visa so you can use it anywhere. Amazon store card by GE can only be use to buy at amazon.com

Just the interest thing and CLI's every 4 months. Great for UTL and helps grow you CL's.

GE Amazon Store 2500

GE Walmart 1700

GE Sams Club 800 ( not even a month old)

GE Paypal MC Extras 2000 (not even a month old)

How difficult it is to get approved for the Chase version?

I have the Freedom card with them.

I found out the camera I've been eyeing is available for 24 month financing, but only on the GE store card (after I apped for the Chase card earlier this week).

Depending on what and how you buy one might be better than the other.

I have the Freedom and was turned down for the Chase Amazon with recon. The reasons I was turned down for the Freedom in the first place, but approved on recon, go figure. YMMV.

if denied for chase amazon, would they counteroffer the regular store card or would that be a separate application?

I have this itch to apply .. but man Chase is tough and I'm just afriad they'd give a flat denial!

It was so tough to get approved for the Freedom .. !

what is your fico score, # of inquiries and any baddies???? you can always recon if denied.... although i haven't been successful on their recon, I read a lot of people gettin approved after calling their backdoor.... and i think this card is fairly easier to get than the freedom

I have 10 inquiries on my report that are so recent.

I applied to just got approved. I had to call in to get it approved. The rep wanted to deny me for too many inquiries but when I explained why there are so many on my report he approved me for a $1,000!

Yeah. Most of the inquiries date back to May when I opened about 4 new accounts. There are some for CLI's and some for denied applications.

My score is like ~630ish ..

oh, i have 2 collections and 3 charge offs from 5-6 years ago.... about 8 inquiries the past 6 months and 12 the past year... when i applied for freedom last may and got turned down, they pulled TU and EX..... staying in the garden is boring but i guess it'll do me better in the long run... i don't think i have a shot on that card, not now at least...

I didn't get a counter offer, I was just flat out denied. So I think the regular store card would be a separate application.
