Because of this forum, I've been able to learn about discussions with underwriters. I've also acquired two cards from all that I've learned here; namely, I was approved for the Travelocity Amex w/ a $6.5k limit on recon, and then the Chase Freedom Visa Siggy on recon with a $5k limit. Believe it or not, these two cards attained on recon have improved my credit substantially, and my other lenders have taken notice and increased most of my limits competitively. :-)

I am about to recon a student card probably going to tell me I have too many inqs. I do however have one card that is being reported as 4% util out of a 750 credit limit that has been reported paid and in good standing I am apping for citi div select for students what do I say?

I checked my EXP and it is reporting a plus score of 726 with 3 inqs and 1 account in good standing and low debt ratio

Citi is tough, even on recon. Depends on what your AAoA is, and whether you have baddies. I wouldnt app for Citi in your case. Try a Barclay's card

If you recon Citi, just explain to them that you ARE creditworthy and are trying to make your credit better:-). Citi's recon reps, IME, have been rude, even when my FICO was like 700.

That score is useless. No lender uses the PLUS score.

Your FICO's could be much higher or lower. Ignore all FAKO's all the time.
