GE APP SPREE HELP - 8/18-8/19

Soooo...I am being a bit of a bad boy today, but am trying to get out of subprime hell. Apped for Wal-mart card on 8/15 and was approved for $600; apped for paypal extras MC and was offered (and accepted) smartconnect offer for $300 today. Now the QUESTION IS....IF I continue on this GE app spree for three more times today (since the inqs are already there), will they start to see that as a flag and does it kill my chances for approvals with them? I will DEFINITELY BE in garden mode for the rest of this year AND NEXT YEAR, but want to take advantage today while I can! I think my TU is higher than what's coming up (currently says 605 and my EQ and EX seem to be hovering right around 595). Had BK in 2004 (still reporing on EX and EQ, but gone from TU report).

Idk how much of a "red flag" that really is... In January, on the same restless night, I app'ed for Chevron, the Paypal MC, Amazon, AND the World Market CC... Only one I got denied was the World Maket card, which ironically has the least info on this board. So maybe four new GE accounts at once is the limit? LOL

I believe you can only do 3 GE cards or so before they start auto-denying you. YMMV though.

I would advise stopping now, your foot is in the door. The more new credit you get the more your scores will go down, GE is allready slapping you down, I was apprv'd a week ago for a Paypal MC plus with a 685 TU FICO with a 2k limit. If you keep applying you will get sub $500 limit perhaps even the dreaded $150 limit and no CLI's for 6months+. Not sure if its worse to get the $150 limit or a simple denial since you only take the INQ not the new tradeline hit and a limit that says to creditors feel free give me a low limit card I will accept it.

Use the card, pay on time, ask for CLI's in 6 months add more cards if you like, you will have a history and they will be happy to give you more cards.

Hahaha... I meant three... As I got denied the fourth... On the fourth app, I noticed my score was 652 vs. 672 for the first three apps, even though they pulled at the same time basically. It quickly recovered though !

I did 2 GEs within a week or so, stopped there cause I didn't want too many new accounts, though I'm still itching. Lol

I still don't understand the "GE COMPUTER"

I have many threads back in Nov and Dec. 2011 and then again starting in about May 2012

in end I got PayPal MC $2k

Chevron $450 (thought declined, but then card came)

Amazon - Declined with 3 HP, never head of that before - Came back 4 or so months later and instant for $900

Lowes

Walmart

Gap - Declined 2 now!

TJX Store $300 - ODD My best friend got $2k MC with them

I also had MANY AU accounts with GE couple Joint Accounts for many many years...

I have only been able to get 1 CLI and that was on Lowes from $500 to $1000 when my balance was $497!

it's just all over the map

and with the gap also denied Lens Crafters, CareCredit x2, i know more but can't think of them now.

GE used to hate me, I have 6 accounts with them now, CLI's every 4-6 month's, I would advise to stop apping for 6 months and then if you want another go for it. Make sure your using the cards and paying me than the minimum also requests CLI at 4 monyh mark.

LS, how long before you were back in their good graces? (I'm in a similar situation from having a Walmart card closed due to payment history last year)

I was somewhat back in good graces when my Dillards Amex went from $2100 on $2200 CL to $0. and only AFTER the Credit Report showed it, not GE... I applied for CLI when GE showed $0 and was declined, went back 30 or so days later and was instant to $3500 which then went to $2350 CL a month or so later so what ever that card is now closed... HOWEVER that was actually before I started my APP Spree stuff....

I do kind of feel like somewhere around 4-6 accounts in a couple day period is some kind of wall but I bet someone with an 800 score could prove me wrong on that! but I saw less success after 4 or so apps... but then 4-6 months later i was able to do another 4 or so...

Util. is usually HUGE thought when it comes to GE approving CLI and if you are good and your util is not terrible when the account hits 3-4 months it's VERY often the one and only CLI you get without asking and they (more recently) have been HUGE CLI that I have never seen with GE... I of course had my CR locked when I hit those 3-4 month period and then when I did unlock little later and request my util was higher... they don't seem to care much about my other util... it's just with them! and no not always when util is just with them just leaning towards my experience...

General Electric. XD they own GECRB (GE capital retail bank) they do a lot of thr backing for store credit cards. Almost all are them or WFNNB.

GE stands for General Electric. They make more than dishwashers and microwaves these days; they also provide financial services such as consumer credit. You may also see them refered to by their acronym, GECRB, which stands for General Electric Capital Retail Bank.

Yeah, now if only they could find a way to let ny dishwasher print out the cards when I got approved ...no more waiting at my mailbox like a lost puppy for them to come in the mail.

3 of 4 my cards dont't really exist as such no mag strips.

GE/Sam's club took my ID down to Sam's club and they reissued my membership card as the "credit version"

GE/Amazon is a piece of laminated paper... Amazon knows about the card and made it a payment choice.

GE/PayPal MC plus is currently just linked to my paypal account, ( card is in the mail).

GE/Walmart actually does exist and is a real looking credit card.

Yeah, i have the walmart, its decent looking xD my smart connect is linked to debit card, not cool enough for the real card I guess. XD
