Chase must really like me.

I've had my Chase Sapphire for less a month when it ended up in the shredder (long story). I logged on to my account and ordered a replacement which arrived today. I called Chase to activate the card and the rep said I was eligible for a CLI. I asked him how that can be since I've only had the card less than a month and my first statement didn't cut yet. He said he didn't know why, but I was eligible. He said it would be a hard pull. Hard pulls don't bother me so I said go ahead. It came back "pending" and said they'll notify me by mail. The rep told he could connect me with a credit analyst who could help. Long story short. My CL went from $7000 to $20,000. I was hoping for $10,000 and they gave me $20,000 and all I did was call to activate my card. Go figure.

Hmm, almost tempted to shred the CSP to get a . . . oh wait the card is made of metal, it would kill the shredder. Time to get out the power tools, I think the Dremel might work.

Wow! Congrats! That's insane. Maybe I should call and say my Freedom accidently got shredded! I've called Chase CS several times about various issues, and they've never mentioned that I'm eligibile for a CLI. I wonder if that's something reserved for Sapphire.
