Walmart Credit Card Cash Monthly Limit?

I've been testing the cash back option of my new Walmart card when I make purchases. I've taken $60.00 twice and chose that option again during tonight's purchase. The items went through but the cash back was declined. I wonder if they have a max amount or max % of the credit limit monthly?

yea its $200.00. i found out the same way you did lol. i was using the cash back feature instead of making trips to the bank or atm but i didnt know it had such a low limit. The only way i found out was by calling GE becuase it didnt state that i had a cash limit anywhere on the paperwork

Yup, the monthly cash limit is $200 for me too. It's indicated on your monthly bill. I wonder if it's possible to have a higher cash limit.

i tried lol, the rep kept telling me that the Cash adv. Limit is based on your current overall CL but obviously not.

Hum... after reading that you have a $200. limit on a $10k card I decided to give them a call. My CL is $600.00 and I was told that my monthly cash limit is $120.00. I questioned what the limit is based on and she said that it's a percentage of the CL. Comes out to 20% for me. It doesn't seem to be like that for everyone. Or maybe based on a percentage of the CL up to $200.00?

Did some research, if you look at your statements in pdf form you can see CL and cash back limits. here are mine over the last 9 months.

CL $1700

Cash back limit $200

a few months back I had

CL $1000

Cash back limit $180

and further back

CL $900

Cash Back limit $180

I think the highest is probably only $200.00 for the walmart card cash withdrawal, my limit is only $200.00 for cash withdrawal and my total cl with my regular walmart card is $5,700.00. I have a sams discover card and I have to check on that card to see the cash withdrawal monthly on that one??

I was just approved for a walmart card last week and have not used it yet. I didn't realize you can get cash back. Beings I am new to all of this, do they charge a fee or higher interest rate for cash back? Thanks

No, there's no fee or higher interest rate. You also get the same grace period as a regular purchase transaction.

I just received my first statement for my Walmart Discover and my cash back limit is $400. I have a $2000 CL.

Before I was upgraded to Discover, my cash back limit was only $60 and I had a $400 CL.

I have the walmart discover Cl 3500 cash back 500.00. Before the upgrade Cl was 1500 cash back was 100.00.

Wait, can you guys help me get this straight, when you're prompted at the Wamart checkout if you want cashback, this is infact not the same as getting a cash advance from your card. I've always said no, thinking cash advances are geneally frowned upon by the CC companies.

correct its like a regular purchase, 25 days no interest. Walmart likes it because they get to give you cash so they have less to be handled by bank truck, and if you don't PIF you get charged 20+% intereest on the loan while reducing there costs.

I think my initial CL with Walmart was $1,200 with a $200 cash-over limit. My oldest online statement shows $1,800 CL with $200 cash-over. After that, it started going up with my CLIs -- $2,100 CL with $233 cash-over, and $2,900 CL with $322 cash-over. I haven't had a statement generate since my last CLI to $6,000, but I would imagine it has gone up again. I should mention that I was actually maxing out my cash-over AND my CL on a regular basis, so maybe people who have had one increase but not the other should try putting more quick cash through the card.

It seems like there is no set % of a credit line or a set number for a monthly max cash back. The numbers are all over the place.

I also thought that banks frowned apon getting cash back or taking a cash advance. Doesn't seem like it matter here.
