Discover CLI when to ask ??

Hello All,

I got my discover more back in Nov 2011 at the time I got approved for $1000. At the 6 month mark I got a CLI to $1250. At 9 months I called in and they raised it to $6750. This month they increased it again themselves to an even $7000. So after how long can you call in and ask for another CLI, I mean so at 9 months I asked when I ask for another increase. Can I ask after the Oct statement cuts ?? That would be a full 12 months ??....

Those are some nice increases! Congrats!!

I would just call in and ask, they are very easy to work with at Discover.

I would just wait until next year to request a CLI. You have a nice limit right now.

wow....those are some really nice increases! I just got approved for the discover more card last week for 1500.00 and was wondering how they are with cli's when the time comes. Did they automatically increase you the the first time? I have a feeling the dicover card will be my favorite of all.......it's my only reward card!

They increased it to $1250 themselves....and then they did it again themselves from 6750 to 7000....

It used to be every 6 months, but I was told by a Discover credit analyst that that rule is now gone and there is no waiting period between CLI's anymore.

Those are nice cli's I wouldn't ask for more from them right now. They are very conservative with C.L's so nice job

I have charged almost 25-26k through the card so far this year and PIF, before the statements cut. I use it for everything, I read that with discover if you use heavy and pay on time they don't mind giving you increases. I hoping to get it to 15k by dec. That would be great.

I'm hoping they get me in the 5k range in a year or so, I use it frequently.
