NFCU Unsecured My Card!!!! Wooooooooooo Hoooo!!!!

So a few days ago, I paid off my loan with NFCU, and was getting ready to close out my $500 secured card with them because I'd obtained an unsecured NRewards card earlier this year. I just logged on to my account and to my surprise, they unsecured my card, gave me a $500 CLI, and refunded my deposit to my savings account!!! Ohhhhhhh happy day!!!! I love NFCU!!!!

I really, really wish I had some way to get into NFCU. I would love to build a relationship with them because they really seem like the best credit union in the country.

Did you request a cli on the account or did they auto graduate it?

Hey that's awesome!! Keep in mind that you can always ask them to convert your card to a different card type now that it is unsecured. Cash rewards are nice. Platinum is nice because it carries the lowest rate... Congrats again on your success with unsecuring your card!

They auto graduated it once I paid off my loan.

Thanks webhopper. I wish I'd have read this post prior to posting a new thread. I think I will look into the Cash Rewards card, it would be nice to earn cash back on my purchases. I really don't want all nRewards cards.
