I just got approved for the Simplicity card last night because I wanted to take advantage of the 0% for 18 months.

They approved me with a CL of $2000 but I was hoping to do a BT of about $3-4K.

Would it be a good idea to call CS and ask for a higher limit? Would it be another HP?

Thanks in advance!

I was approved last week for Simplicity for 3000, I just called today the back door # and the rep asked me my income, expenses and how much I was looking for. I also told them that I will do a balance transfer and they immediately responded and were like ooooooooooooooooooooh. Told me I will have a response in 30 minutes. I asked for 6000. Wish me luck!!!

Dishpro, what do you mean they can use the same hard pull for 30 days?? Meaning, if anything changes on your report within those 30 days, they will be able to see them without another current hard pull? If yes, is that all lenders anyone has appd, but was declined with?

When a lender pulls your credit they have a snapshoot of what your credit looks like for that moment. Lenders purchase these CR's from the CRA's and it is come practice for a lender to keep the CR for 30 days. If you call within the 30 day time period for a CLI they generally will not purchase a new CR they instead will use the latest one for up to 30 days. Any additional CLI requests within the first 30 days are counted as a single CLI. Your next CLI will usually not be allowed for 3 billing statements or more. Of course the downside of a lender using the report for 30 days would be if you have a score increase within the 30 days.
