What is the "nominal fee" that Cap1 charges for telephone payments (but doesn't disclose in the written documentation?)

Just had to check the FAQ on my account online, since I've never paid by phone.

Seems the fee is $10 if through the automated phone system, or $14.95 if through a representative.

Online is free.

OUCH!!! Thank you for looking it up.

I'm trying to get DS to take the time to look into these types of things in advance so he knows how to plan ... but planning is not one of his strengths. Getting him to take the time to explore all of the information available on the web-site is not something he takes kindly to. Those ADHD characteristics he has are going to be his downfall.

Honestly, I didn't know that detail before I got the card either. I just knew I could pay online for free and that was enough for me.

DS thinks that all businesses work the same way. He would have assumed that since he can pay Sprint by phone with no fee, he could do this also. I will put a BIG NOTE, warning him, on the fridge!

I made a telephone payment to them ONE time, to avoid a 30 day late. I was in panic mode. Glad I did, but never again shall I shell out the fee for it.

I like the way the "letter" in the mail says telephone payments are available at a "nominal" fee. Doesn't seem too nominal to me ... but I guess it beats the alternative ... late fee and rate jacking.

My feelings exactly denbar! 2 phone payments will almost pay for an entire tank of gas, or several days of groceries.
