Well..

after having a thread of me being so mad at C1 for refusing a CLI... on a restless night, I decided to app for Disover Motiva and Amex BCE...

and I was APPROVED FOR BOTH

so Capital One can really s--- it at this point!!

Hahaha.....congrats!! Cap1 denied me last month and then discover approved me for my highest limit!! I hope cap1 sends me a preapproval someday so I can deny them...lol

Pretty typical. Cap One are a good stepping stone for credit rebuilders, but they royally suck at growing along with you as your creditworthiness improves.

Amex, on the other hand, is a good grower. Make those on-time payments like clockwork on your new BCE and they will take you places.

Oh, I will!!! Amex actually told me themselves to call back at sixty days to request a CLI...

They congratulated me a MILLION times on the phone.... I really see a great banking relationship beginning with them. I also just opened an Amex Personal Savings accout with a yield of .90%; I only put a couple thousand in it, but I'm all about earning a little interest! lol and I took that money out of Capital One.. so best of luck to them!!! ;-)

Lol I rarely have used my Walmart Discover, but every place Ive randomly used it has accepted lol!

I won't be using my Walmart Discover for regular purchases (unless its walmart related)...I hate their online system. GECRB needs to tweak it a bit before I'll fully commit to using it. That and the APR is outrageous! LOL!

I think the vast majority of GE products are meant to be PIF cards, no one in their right mind would want to carry a balance

Who doesn't accept Discover nowadays? I remember when I was younger it seemed like some old person type card, not quite an Amex, but definitely not a Visa or MC... Now being older and having it be my number one prime card with excellent limit for my current status in life I don't have any issues... Except this one Taco Bell, even though another Taco Bell takes it no problem, but that's a good thing to keep me away from my fast food poison fix at that one chain location. I always stick my head out like REALLY? But it's all good.. Better for my health.

I actually have two balances with GE. Hehee. But they are both NO INTEREST for 12 and 18 months furniture purchases. I have until mid 2013 and early 2014 to pay before the interest kicks in. I hate interest. Never paid it and don't intend to start now! LOL!

I went to Pacific Theatre and wanted to charge my Discover and the guy was like "I'm sorry we don't accept Discover!" I was like "NOOO but what about my cashback bonuses? The quarter is almost over!! Pleassee??" LMAO I've run into at least 5 places so far that are like NOOPE to discover. So I end up charging my stupid Cap1 Visa...

LOL!!!! Yeah... I only have a balance on one GE card.... Im about to pay my Wmt Discover in full as always!!! No thanks you to 22.9% interest. They will let you get a cash advance with the interest free grace period too though!!! Haha

Can't afford to start racking up more debt. Gotta pay down my balances and get my UTIL in order before more credit..oh and find work..LOL.

My mom had a discover. I'm pretty sure she closed hers a long time ago. She just has the freedom now.

I like my discover card. Its my favorite I don't use it as much as my amex or amazon card though.

A lot of places don't, and if you travel internationally many places don't accept Amex either. Where I'm at, about 80% of the merchants don't accept Amex and nobody accepts Discover.

The only exception that comes to mind is japan. Also all discover cards are no ftf, so it's too bad that they have a limited international presence
