Membership Rewards Program AMEX

I noticed there is no fee for the Blue AMEX card, but when I went to the Membership Rewards page it says it costs $40 to enroll in the program. Am I reading this correctly?

That is correct.

Without the fee, Blue participates in Membership Rewards Express, which is sort of a "lite" version of Membership Rewards.

I'm wondering if the $40 fee is worth it? Has anyone here had only the Membership Express?

BIG TIME WORTH THE $40, the express is normal over inflated point program like Chase and other programs. With Rewards Program you shift you're miles anywere you wany. The majority of the FF with airlines and the redemption values are awesome.
