I tried to apply for the JPM Select card on the Chase website but received a dead link. For those of you that recently applied for the card, how did you do it?

I just tried this link and click on apply and it's a dead link. Strange

Seems like Chase is having problem with their site again.

when I click "Apply now" it takes me to an offer unavilable link.

I tried both ways and ended with the same result, a dead link. This happens when trying to apply for this card only.

Just tried to apply for 4 other card, all working. Select app site is probably 'undergoing maintenance'

Chase had a maintenance notice in their online account interface today; is probably just a glitch.

It would be very wierd if they air struck the card from a product perspective.

It may have been a teaser to create brand awareness like the Palladium. Now it could be resticted to tighter qualifying guidelines. Maybe?

I called, told the CSR about the dead link. He tried the site and was shocked to find out the site was not working properly. Although he did not provide an explanation for the non-working site, he advised me to go to a local branch to apply.

I GOT THE DETAILS (Supposedly)

I just called, I have the card. He was surprised it didn't work. He put me on hold then came back

Apparently there has been a bunch of "fraud" with new applications with this card in the last month. He didn't get in the details. He stated that as of now this card can only be obtained by going in and applying through a branch via personal banker. I asked if it would come back to becoming an online app and he wasn't too sure, but said it would not be soon.

If you want the card you got to go to a Branch.

For the heck of it I called my csp hotline and asked as well.

He said that he was aware of some new changes that were coming to the card and he said it is likely an invitation card only now. Ha I am betting the JPM guy is more on track with the reason. The palladium card I can see as an invitation only card but not the select? Wait and see I guess.

Someone else should try calling. Maybe we could start to get a consistent answer?

Hrm, will be interesting to see what they change it to if they do. Other than the hidden tradeline which for the most part only us and a few other forums know about let alone care most likely, it wasn't that spectacular of a card unless the conceirge benefits were otherworldly. After the BOFA revamp to a 1.5x rewards card on 0 AF, and a 2:1 on all purchases for the same AF that the JPM select has, I'm struggling to find out where this product fits in the pantheon of travel cards.

Granted that only happened a few months ago with regards to BOFA and Amex has yet to offer an EMV chip; however, with more and more cards supporting EMV chips, I'm just not seeing the draw unless I'm missing something very badly looking at Chase's site.

Access to double your cl line. No fees at all. Easy cli make a phone call and say i need more credit no hp, an instant answer. Sometimes they have told us, run whatever you need threw it will be approved, just pay your bill when you get it and were good but wont up your limit permanently yet. Always decent people

The hidden tradeline and the ability to charge 2X your CL (if needed of course) on the Select

I know the Palladium is 3X on the CL, that's what I was told. But the AF's are high.
