Some Love from GE Credit Solutions

So I called GE Credit Solutuons at 1-877-379-4936 and a very nice guy in india answered and i asked about getting an increase on my Paypal Smart Connect and he took down my info and income and asked me how much. I said to him "well i have $650 now, so how about $800 please? and he put that in and placed me on hold while he reviewed my credit. I was placed on hold for a while and then he came back and said their system is running a bit slow and asked if he can place me on hold for a bit more so i said sure... then he finally came back and said he can honor my request of $800 and its able to be used right away. I was logged into paypal and i just refreshed my screen and it was there!

I also called up 1-800-480-0205 for my Walmart Card and asked for $700 and after putting in all my info and income and placing me on hold he came back and asked me to verify 2 credit cards on my credit report and their limits so i said about my Capital One and my Bank of America and then he said congradulations i have approved you for $700!!!!

Nice part was it wasnt 4 months (statements) since my last increases, I wouldnt actually be due till late november or early december.

thanks! so now i have a combined total credit limit of $2800! I love GE!!! This is awesome!

I wonder if i can get away with asking again in December or do u think that will be excessive and flag my accounts?

ok. personally I have not asked for any CLIs as I am just getting started with new approvals. However, I would say at the holidays I do know companies get very very generous and if its a soft pull ONLY, it can't hurt to ask. It never hurts to ask and you might just be surprised. I got my first real card approved a couple months back and literally almost fell out of my chair (im prone to 'shockfainting' lol) Best of luck my friend!!

ge is always soft pull from what ive read.

it wouldnt hurt. they only soft anyways.

id call the underwriter though and say im buying some stuff. etc... that way they manual review as opposed to the system that sees youve only had that limit for x number of days/months.

I have about 18 or 20 inquaries right now and a few may fall off this year but the rest should fall off in by 2014, and i guess GE didn't care one bit.

Very strange thing just happened first I called the front door for my Amazon card and got an Amercan rep and asked them for an increase and they very quickly denied me and said a letter would be sent in the mail then a few minutes ago i called Credit Solutions and see if they could help me cuz i had no i dea why i didn't call them in da first place so I called 1-877-379-4936 and got a rep in india again to see if i can increase my Amazon card and they told me that the "minumum credit limit requirement for underwriting on an Amazon account is $1,000 and since mine is at $500 underwriting cannot review my account for an increase"

Has anyone heard this before? Did they lie to me or are they telling me the truth?

on a side note I am not a racest in any way, however I am really surprised that the people in India at Credit Solutons were easy to understand and were able to help me with the 2 increases at least. I still can't belive it that i got some increases!

If they helped you before with the increases, then they either lied or were missinformed about how to handle your particular issue.

You could try calling them again and see if that gets you somewhere.
