discover extra cash back?

when i signed on this morning i saw this

Does this happen often? do they always have extra deals like this?

They do periodic bonus offers in addition to the quarterly rotating offers. May was a grocery bonus, July-Aug was London, an ongoing utility offer, etc.

Yes. Pretty much no restrictions or limits at all.

And if you buy something online, it will stack the cash back. 5% for online + 2% on 10/26 = 7% cash back. And if you buy something online through ShopDiscover on 10/26, you could potentially earn up to 27%.

Yes, it has to post on the 26th. You can also stack for extra cashback... For example if you buy something through shopdiscover on the 26th you'll get the %5/variable (shopdiscover) + %5 (online purchase) + %2 (26th) This gets you a total of %12 cashback

Yeah, remember the transaction has to post on the 26th. Some merchants do not report the transaction until they actually ship the items. Timing is very important for deals like this.

There no way we can track the system on how long they going to post on the account......most of company is different..........some hold for 2 day some hold for 3 or maybe up to 5 days.........Dis cover need to do some better with their cash back offer like this........

Right now the catorgy is online shopping (and something else i think)

so anything you buy online you get %5 cash back after the statement posts. (75$ cash back limit on this)

Now on this day anything you buy you get %2 cash back (no set limit i think) and thats on top of the %5 cash back

so you buy a brand new macbook pro for $2k and you could get $140 in free cash back, which I use as statement credit.

2% cash back seems to be for everything and with no set limit,

but that day only.

You'd have to call discover, but I'd assume so. Or atlest you'd have to get a pending transaction.
