AMEX so many soft pulls, why ??

I have not had an AMEX since 1995, it was a gold card and charged off about 7k, bad spot in my life.

Why I am getting so many inquires from AMEX. Last night I put a freeze on Experian.

Should I be worried they will be back after me for a charge off from 17 years ago ?

Not so sure they can come after you since that's way past the SOL, but they can still bug you for the rest of eternity of they wanted to. Either way, considering they've been SPing you for so long, I highly doubt you'll ever be able to get back in the doors with AMEX again.

When a debt is past SOL, that means they cannot use lawsuit or judgement to make you pay. Other than that they can still try to collect debt.

What's your credit like now? They may be sp'ing you to pre-approve you for something :-D

even with a freeze they can still SP you because you have done business with them. SP's do not show up to other lenders so do not worry about it. everytime yoy pull your own report its a SP. if you use 3 diffrent sites that pull your 3 reports you could see 3 per day per report for a total of 1095 per year per report or a total of 3285 for all three. do not worry about SP's amex and all my cards SP me every month when the bill cuts.

Oh nvm, I can see your scores... Why don't you check their site and see if you are pre approved for anything... Bet you are... !!!

i just checked my EX and between the CCC's and my self there are well over 1k sp's not to worry. they can not see it at all and with those scores see if you can get a revoler

yeah! Idk if you read this thread... But there was one about a guy having a co from Amex like ten years ago. He got approved for the Amex BCE (as afbar says, I bet you can too with those scores) But then when he went to ask for a cli, he got denied due to that co account, which was still in Amex's files Haha!! Hope that makes sense.

This is only true with Experian. With Equifax and Transunion; there's a limit(an exact number actually) to how many soft pulls, your file can hold.

Actually a limit to total pulls (HP+SP) a file can hold.
