chances for CSP

last time i apped for CSP and freedom they pulled EX for me.

my EX score is 693(from amex SPG denial lol)

11 inqs from within last 6 months.

4 cards over 5k cl. 2 of them 10 months old.

utility is 2%

should i even try?

YMMV but I opened 4 new cards in few days

Freedom $3000 , CSP $5,000 , Amex $5,500 , Navy Federal $17,000

Even though limits weren't reporting Chase was my last account and they HATED the fact I had 2 recent inquiries on my EQ report from Navy and DCU (savings account) and I even have banking with them and 50k in my account -_-;

I had to call for a recon for a weak $3,000 limit on freedom =\ So I'd say wait, but hey if you have that many inquiries I guess trying wouldn't hurt much if any right now =)

i apped for it back in june and they denied me because i only had one account over 5k (5.7k) and they tell me to app again when that account was at least 6 months old cuz at that time it was only 4 months old. thats the only reason they denied me!

lol I had ZERO personal accounts over $1,500 when I got the CSP (other cards were not reporting yet, and still not =\ )

I really think the inqs are gonna hurt your chances. 11 in the last 6 months is a lot by any measure. But recon is always possible if they deny.

But also, you have 18 cards already (if i counted correctly). 18 is about 15 more than i can handle. but if you're handling 18 i guess you could handle 19, right?

back then i only had 2. i called to recon 3 times and they told me that they wanna see more history on that 5k card. i asked its that the only reason and the lady said yes.

now i have one with 7.5k and 12.5k 2 and 4 months old

yeah it was. sooo should i? or should i wait until 1/12/2013 that would make those all 11 inqs 6 months old.

I would say wait, but it's your choice, if you get approved you'll probably not get a visa signiture version with the inquiries. If you wait probably will.

mhmm i want the preferred not the regular sapphire. its a visa siggy or nothing.

if you apply for CSP then you'll get a CSP visa siggy or declined, you won't get the non annual fee version if you get declined.

I just noticed im on my 4th statement on my freedom and this november 4th will be my 5th...should i wait until my 6th statement has ended to apply for CSP? Does chase care about payment history with them? Or should i just do it and hope i get on recon? Thanks

of course payment history is a huge factor, if they see you carrying large balances over with only a 6 month history they should question if you can handle another large creditcard. but that's only under manual review, hopefully you get approved without one =)

My utl is 2% at the moment. I let 900 report this month but its already paid in full and should update by this 12. I have maxed my freedom 3 or 4 times a month since it was only a 500cl. I have never reported a balance on my freedom tho since i pay it off the same day i use it. Should i go for it?

Is it mandatory to have other CL's 5,000 + in order to qualify for even the regular CS not the preferred one. Can I still get approved without a 5,000 cl cc?
