I don't think Chase would let you purposely have a statement credit. You'll only get a statement credit if buy something, return it with no further transaction and you already paid your bill. The only way I could see it working is by pushing a payment through the bank bill pay. Even then, Chase might return the payment.

Can I send in payment above what is owes for a kind of temporary CLI? Any other suggestions?

Yes, you can send payment from your checking account. Just force the payment through via bill pay. Or you can make a payment at a chase branch.

Another option would be applying for the Best Buy card and get the 0% offers that they have.

Least recommended option would be to make a purchase within your credit limit (don't open it) pay it off then return it. That will create a credit balance which will also effectively increase your credit limit.

Once they are in place it doesn't really matter how thin they are. I have 3 LED TV's and to me...just basic LCD's would have been fine

One of my TV"s is a smart tv, and it seems like that just makes it take longer to turn on. I never use the smart tv functions, so it is just kind of a hassle.

If you have a video game system or blu ray hooked up to it already, then the smart tv function are superfluous. If you aren't going to be wanting to wear 3D glasses at your home, then the 3D function is pointless. If you aren't going to be moving it a lot, and you are okay with the lighting of LCD, then LED isn't needed. If you don't mind the look of other brands, then paying more for Samsung isn't worth it. I have actually had good luck with best buys in house insignia brand.

Just trying to save you some money. Hope you think about it a little more. You can get a pretty sweet tv for half the price.

Also, make sure you check out the open box area. You can usually find some really nice TV's there and they will sometimes sell them for what you offer them.
