Need some Help Cleaning the drawer out

With my BK falling off march ’13 – figured its time to clean up my cards. Not sure on what cards I should for AAOA or sake of too many cards open since most are the Crappy ones.

Here is my card list

Orchardbank visa– opened 8/07 - 720.00 – 189.00 balance

Orchardbank mc – opened 4/10 - 500.00

Credit one visa – opened 12/08- 775.00 – 425.00 Balance

Credit one mc – opened 9/10 - 600.00

First Premiere – opened 11/10 – 700.00 <---- this one is going byebye for sure - just paided it off today, once it clears - calling to cancel it.

RZMC - opened 8/11 – 1200.00

Discover More - opened 4/12- 1000.00 – 150 Balance

Capital one Builder-opened 7/11 – 750.00

Khols (dept store) – opened 7/11 – 300.00

Walmart Store card - opened 7/11– 400.00 - canceled As of 10/29/12

PayPal Connect - opened 10/12 – 800.00

Merrick bank mc- opened 10/10 – 1900.00

Credit Union One (CU) Visa–opened 8/12 – 2300.00 - 315 balance

I would absolutely get rid of the CreditOne cards and call GE to get CLI's on your store cards. Wally from over a year ago should be MUCH higher than $400

actually i just tried for a CLI - denied (forgot the reason) - i just pulled a TU and it was a 722 - my EX 692

I'd get rid of your store cards cuz IMO store cards are useless and they are usually quick to close on you due to inactivity.

If any of your cards have AFs, i'd close those.

Your orchard and credit one visa both have high util so obvisously pay those down, but I'd close them anyways.

I would close anything with an AF or a limit under $1,000 that won't budge. This will leave you with a few decent cards. Garden them for 6 months, then app for a couple prime cards that you are interested in.

Also, make sure you PIF all your accounts every month.

99 % of the the time i do, most of the balances are new this month.

I think you are prime ville once the bk falls off.
As of closing the cards go, I'd try to get rid of the first premier and combine limits in Orchard and credit one. If no-go, then close them after pif.

Try to cli with soft with PayPal and khols.

Treat well the cu card and why in the world did you close wally! -_-

OB and CU wont combine - already asked.

canceled each of the 0 balance ob/CU cards - will cancel the other 2 when i pay them off next month. pretty painless - they offered to waive AF for 6 month lol. .

FP will be canceled tomorrow.

wally was canceled since i rarely use it maybe 300-400 a year and seems GE hates me when it comes to CLI and really wasnt taking advatage of the free score every month.

damn it feels good to be canceling these

If you have 400 CL for over a year, I would call them now or use the CLI Luv Button and see if you can get atleast 3-4k CL.

If he wants the wally card later, he will be better off apping for it again than trying to build this one. His limit will be better and CLI's will be easier.

It doesn't sound like he has any use for it, so there is really no point to keep it. He PIF and has okay limits, so utilization isn't too big of any issue.

AF = cancel for me personally

unless the AF is easily worth the value of the card (BCP comes to mind)

honestly the only one who i have gotten AUTO CLi's from was merrick - this year alone was 2x

If you call up merrick again in april, they will likely be able to offer you another good CLI.

I've never asked for a CLI from merrick, always got the suprise email saying here ya go. been happy with merrick.
