AMEX True Earnings Approved with 657 FICO TU

I should have been in the garden, but....

I want to buy some electronics from Costco. I figured may as well go for it.

Applied online with some difficulties due to the 3-step fancy web page. Try several different links from Google search and different browsers. Finally got the 3-step thing to work after about 5 tries. Got the "your application needs further review ....14 days message". Checked online status --> Approved. Called the number on the backdoor thread and YES the CL is $1500.

FICO TU (checked today) 657 (went down about 20 points, probably from the recent apps). FICO EQ last week is 655.

Recent apps:

1) Sept 2012: CapitalOne Spark Cash Select (2K CL)

2) October 2012: AMEX SimplyCash (3K CL)

3) October 2012: Discover More (1K CL)

4) November 2012: Target REDCard ($300 CL)

Is there a number I can call to find out what my limit is for the True Earnings.

Definitely should be in the garden NOW. Seriously.... By the way, thanks everyone. This forum is super awesome. I promise I'll be doing some gardening now.

I was approved for $1500 but about a month ago I was approved for AMEX SimplyCash for $3000.

Can I call the App Status number on the backdoor to ask them to match the $3000 CL?

yet another AMEX i want/need... sucks they're so sensitive to other lenders looking at your reports. 6 months in the garden for me.

Yes, they pulled TU and I'm living in South California. Got a CK update this morning.

Anyway, I called AMEX and asked for the 2x CLI because I have a business card with $3K (one month old just PIF with $2600 and current bal is $300)

The rep said "sorry can't do it on the True Earnings yet, but I can try to see if I can give you a CLI on your 1-month old Business Amex". I confirmed with her this going to be a soft pull. Said yes. Then she went ahead and asked me for annual income, then DECLINED.

I then asked her when I can call back for CLI for both cards, and she said "90 days from today, both BOTH CARDS which is 2/6/2013". I told her I've been waiting for my 60-day CLI for the business card, and the True Earnings is due in 2 months. And she said that's the way it is. She should have informed me about the 90 DAYS thing (if I get declined) but she did not. She was a very nice (oversea) lady so I did not want to give her a hard time. But I regret for asking for the CLI on the business card and got declined which set off 3 months for both cards. On the bright side, I should be gardening for 3 months at least anyway.

Just want to update everyone this to approve for this True Earnings app, AMEX hard pulled for 3. Ouch!!!!

On the bright side, I now have an AMEX (personal) for $1500, and a Discover More for $1000.

From some of the posts on this forum, it appears that AMEX and Discover sometimes try to beat each other. So I assume I'll get a little auto CLI "luv" from Discover soon.
