Barclays CC's - Mastercard Rewards vs Retail Visa (Apple)

Which one is better?

I was thinking of applying in another 6 months for one of these. Can the Retail Financing (Apple) card be used in other places? I always PIF so the interest for me isn't an issue. Or should I apply for the Rewards Mastercard?

Thoughts?

The question you should be asking is whether you want to buy Apple's product (Visa) and finance it or 2X points on grocery/utility/gas (MasterCard).

I was thinking of getting an iPhone through the Apple store and financing it. But I guess in reality, I could get the Mastercard and buy the phone and earn points, right?

If you are going to PIF go with the MasterCard.

The Mastercard comes with 15 months of no interest so you could buy it with that and still float the purchase if you choose to do so. You also get $50 after first use. It's a terrible bonus, but since you were going for it anyway, it sweetens the deal.
