GE/WALMART APP QUESTION

I applied for the walmart cc and was told I was denied and to wait for the letter to come in the mail as to the reasons why. Well I got that letter yesterday. This is what is say.

Using public info they couldnt locate my SS#, phone, and address. Seriously. So how did I get approved for all my other ccs then? It states they didnt pull my credit report so they cant provide me a score. Bunch of BS as they are clearly listed as a inq on my TU..

What can I do about this?

I tried that yestersday. They dont do recons and additionally my app is closed so they are unable to see any info. Thats weird in itself to me considering I appd on the 6th of nov and got the letter yesterday.

Try different number I guess..........don't waste an inquiry .........that's 5 credit score there lol

I love you guys. I just called again. They said they couldnt verify my telephone #. They sent a text and it never came through. She hung up and called backed. When she called backed she said Congrats you are approved for 1.5k discover. I almost jumped out the window I was so happy. Yay me

Never be afraid to recon. I'm so afraid of rejection, I almost didn't call in for my WalMart app and all they ended up needing was to ask me the verification questions! I would have been miserable for...7-10 days.

I am never afraid to recon. I tried it 3 times yesterday to no avail. After the encouragemnt from you all I went all in for a 4th try. 3rd time isnt always a charm but the 4th time just might be.

Yes you did nicholasyud. I told them it was a bunch of bs that they couldnt verify my identity when clearly I have a recent inq from them on 11/02/12 which is when I applied. They reviewed the info and bascially said they needed to confirm my telephone number. She sent a text which never came through and still hasnt then she called me on the number. Once she did that she said CONGRATS you are approved for the Discover card with a starting limit of 1.5k. After I gave her a piece of my mind which I didnt hold anything back considering I honest felt the denial letter was a bunch of bs. It took very little effort from my end after that.
