It doesn't hurt to call and ask. I called and asked about an old Home Depot card that was closed I think in January 06 or 07 after being dormant for 7 years. They told me I had to re-apply. But who knows, maybe if I had called sooner?

Consider calling and asking.

I had an old Citi card years ago.. What are the chances of having them reopen the account with the same number?? It was closed by consumer, in good standing.

I also have an old Sears MC, closed in good standing. There's still a balance on it, but I'm paying it off. What are the chances of reopening that one as well??

Any thoughts?
