Anyone recently apply for a Cap1 card?

I apply for one the other day and got approved and it said i'd get my stuff in 7 to 10 days...i call today and it says we are reviewing app and now will get something in the mail from them mar. 5....kinda makes me nervous like they changed their mind..

It happens quite often actually. On any cc you may apply for. Hooter's, WaMu, BoA...most of them, imo.

It is neither a bad indicator, nor is it a favorable one. But is leaning towards a favorable decision. It means they are taking a good look at you. Better than an immediate "No!", isn't it?

I made the mistake of applying BEFORE the JDB account was deleted, and was denied automatically, it pays to listen to the folks on this board. I did however get the 7-10 message with BOA, and they called me, I faxed etc and so on. I am tempted to ask Cap1 for a reconsideration, considering the denial letter was based on my EXP CR, which was the only one with the JDB on it.

My dh just applied this week. We also got the same thing about getting something in the mail in 7-10 days.

have him dial 800-955-7070 option 4 to check the status and let me know what it says on the automated system..mine says they are reviewing and will get notification by march 5...just curious as to what it tells him..

thanks solid....that makes me feel a little better to know it took 3 weeks..that's about what the system quoted me but, it said in reiview...i am like are they thinking about changing their minds now..
