Ive read that if you apply for the Cash+ and your not approved sometimes they offer you a diff card and after 6 months you can upgrade to the cash+ if your CL is 5k+. What card is that and how hard is it to be approved for that one?

I cant seem to find the cash+ at USBANK site....they dont offer that card anymore?

I just applied for the Cash+ card but got approved for the regular 1% cash card with a $4500 limit. At least I am in the door and hope in 6-12 months I can upgrade.

Thanks man! Also how easy is it to be approved for the 1% rewards card if not approved for the cash plus? All 3 of my scores are between 690 and 696. Aaoa is 1 year. No baddies or late payments with longest account at 5.9 years.

Also 14 of 17 new accounts are turning 6 months old this month.

Jsick, I applied with scores like yours (plus a year of payments on my mortgage, very low utilization, and 50% through an auto loan, only late payments I have ever had are 3 30 day lates when I moved.

I got the regular 1% Cash Visa.

I just called last friday and they are investigating upgrading me to Cash+ Signature. CSR Supervisor I spoke to was VERY confident that I would get approved.

You shouldn't have any problem. Just apply for them after the 6 month mark. You should get approved with around $2K limit according to your profile.

Happened to me, too. I was originally approved for 4K Cash Rewards but called, reconned, and got the 5K Cash+ Signature. Very pleased. Good luck and keep us updated!

applied for cash+ approved for 1% card 11 mos ago. (was my 2nd card) for 1500.

got 3 more cards since then and wasn't able to upgrade to cash+ or travel rewards yet.. gonna call at 12mo mark
