Proud new member of the NFCU family

Wife joined through her brother and I joined through her. We just set up our accounts and made the deposits. Now just waiting for everything to process so we can access our online accounts. Hopefully we have some offers waiting on us, but if not, then we'll wait a bit before applying.

Just excited we were finally able to join and can only hope we are offered some of the awesome cards that members here have posted.

Welcome to family. There really is no reason to wait on offers. According to CSR they take about 30 days to fully populate. I would just apply now if you are not in garden and go for card yall want.

NFCU is the best CU . Customer services A +++++ services and product A+++++ . I tell ya you don't need to wait .

I agree... No Reason to wait... You should both apply alone, later you can joint or AU each other if you want... but I would do seperate at first.

Congrats! Treat them right and NEVER be late, they don't forget. I got them to give me a CLI from $1500 to $6000 after having the card for only a few months.

Congrats and welcome to the NFCU Family! If you wait to see your online info, you'll probably see an invite to apply for a card or a car anyway. Can always call up and ask about products if you'd like to apply sooner, they're very friendly and helpful. As others have said, there's not much reason to wait if you don't wish to.

I wasn't planning on applying for an individual card, just my own account (a bit like you) but saw the offer on line while setting up online access over the phone and asked about it. Before I knew it, the CSR lady had me applied and said I'd find out in a few days. So ended up with 15k on joint and 3k on individual. Keep getting notices and a couple letters about being pre-approved for a car loan lately too, but not looking for now lol.

Congrats I would apply now if you want no need to wait. I started a year ago with them with a 500 cl secured nrewards card and now they have given me a 5k cl platinum card and a 3k cash rewards card.

Went from 14k to 17.5k to 20k since Jan. NFCU rocks! I also have a new truck loan through them @ .99 and a refi @ 1.59!!! :-)

got my alerts today and looks like they did a HP on TU to join.

Still waiting for my online access to process. I'm guessing it will be available tomorrow.

I know it's cliche and ran to death on these boards, but I think NFCU will be our best and fastest way to getting better cards with much better limits. I'm not expecting a card with a $25k starting limit or even $5k for that matter. I'm just wanting to get in and get started with arguably one of the best CU's and lenders that I've ever heard of. If I'm approved for any decent card with a decent starting limit then not only will i be happy, but it will be another step in the right direction for me.

Thanks to this forum for teaching me so much and helping me get my credit back on track. From the advice I've gotten on here, and reading a plethora of threads, since I really started my rebuilding back in July I have learned to monitor my reports more closely, get incorrect items removed, a few derogs removed/GW'd, and bring my scores up to mid/upper 600's from 500's in a matter of months (getting close to 100pts better!). The best part about this is that I have been able to take what I've learned here and help my friends and family out as well.

ok spill the beans are you going to apply or what? lol

lol...i just finally got my online access today. literally like 45sec ago.

I logged in and it already says i'm PRE-SELECTED to do an auto refi if I want to....so I guess I'll go ahead and apply for a card and see what happens.

Should I app for the nRewards or the cashRewards?
