Love my Discover More!

Last month, the first month I had a Discover More, I made over $80 in cash back on $1,300 spending. This month, I had free one-day shipping on several items from Amazon, and expect to get a decent amount of cash back too.

Discover is awesome.

I wanna garden til July so I can have at least 1 year of history with Capital One. I don't wanna end up starting with a low limit Discover with only 6 months of history.

You'll be missing out on a lot of cash back, and a huge sign-up bonus .... If you're planning to garden for the next half a year, an inquiry today won't have much of an impact anyway.

I think we should find out a little more on the poster's credit history before suggesting a card. The scores posted are not FICOs, and there may be recent baddies, new accounts, etc that would prevent a quality approval.

But if they would like to share more about themselves, I'm sure we could make some suggestions on the next steps for a card.

There are a lot of people that are negative on Discover.

With the it card rewards structure and their amazing customer service I have a hard time hating on them!

I want a high limit card. I don't know the starting limits on the discover more. That is what is holding me back to wait and app for Chase Sapphire...I know they do high limits initially. I don't want to get stuck with another low limit card. I would rather have a high limit card with less rewards than a low limit with more rewards.

I hate the It for not having a card builder function. More is the best!

Since the poster doesn't have any FICO scores, I assume he is new to credit. And as such, he is the ideal customer for Discover. Don't you think?

I'll have 6 months of credit history beginning of January. Thin file with no baddies, no judgements, and no bankruptcy. 5 inquiries on each CR and I just got new CC from DCU in November.
