Can NFCU siggy be less than $5K?

So is a siggy from NFCU ever issued for less than $5K CL?

I applied for the green cash rewards was approved for $2K visa, but the approval says siggy visa but the limit still says $2K. I called to ask and they can't figure out what the answer is. I did notice that they pulled 2 hp's, one from EQ and TU for the card on 2 different days. Of course the very fist pull they did was TU so that's a total of 3 pulls in 24 hours!

These guys are definitely hp happy .

I don't think a visa sig can ever be under 5k.

I know when my sister apped for the UPromise card from barclays her welcome email said "Congratulations on your new UPromise World Mastercard" but she only got a 1k limit and a platinum mastercard. When you get the card in the mail just look for the word "Signature"

On your accounts page after clicking on your card does it have a link to the Visa Signature Concierge?

I've always read that signature cards had to have at least a $5k limit, but i guess anything can happen.

Hmmm....don't see anything yet. Just the approval messages. This is what the messages says:

12/21/2012 The status of your new cashRewards Visa credit card (xxxxxxx) is Review In Process.

12/24/2012 Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved for a Signature cashRewards Visa credit card.

like mentioned...when you get your card you can tell right away. The siggy is darker sorta matte green and will say Signature under VISA. The regular will be a lighter/brighter green like on their site and of course won't say Signature on it.

At least you're a member and were approved for a card. That's the main thing. It only gets better is what I keep hearing.

What more does the signature card offer compared to the standard cashrewards card?

Congrats! On your online account you should be able to tell if its a visa or a visa signature.

Yes, they can be under $5,000.

My initial approval for the Flagship Signature was for $3,500.

I guess they have different requirements for siggy limits than many other creditors, which is fine with me .

Nope....nothing but my debit card for the checking account

I did was recon from the $2K to $5 so that's a plus. I guess due to the holidays they are moving slow. I got the official approval on Xmas so just a week now. I'm hoping one day this week though!!

Get this, I got approved for a Discover on the Dec 30th. On the 31st they said they were going to fedex me my card so I assume tomorrow or Thursday. So I will probably get the Discover card before I get the NFCU card...LOL! Not that it bothers me but it is just a little bizarre. When I got my DCU card I had it in about 2 or 3 days, but like I said it could all be due to 2 holidays running together like this.

I'll update when I get it.
