That sucks.

If it is happening so many times, then I want to say that something about you is going on. Do you have strong passwords on your online accounts? Do you change your passwords every so often? Do you have a computer/cell phone/ipad virus? Have you done a clean sweep of your computer and devices? Do you have the same password for all of your accounts? Did you give facebook or an app some sort of permission to invade your privacy thus making you more susceptible? Do you think it can be someone you know or someone who has access to your accounts?

If this keeps happening to you over and over (didn't you also have a problem with USAA too? Or am i thinking of another poster?) then I would say that this is like flipping a coin and having it land on heads everytime. Either you are very unlucky (probability speaking) or your security isn't up to par stop hackers.

I received a call and a fraud alert email from Amex. They told me to call 1-800-824-9289 to confirm charges. I also checked online someone charge $2700 merchandise from Woot.com on Dec 26 and Dec 27. That I didn't buy. Right now, I'm on the phone with Amex. I requested to change the whole account number instead of last 5 digit card no. They hit this account every 2 years.
To all, watch closely your account activity and statement. Crooks also went on shopping spree.

Ron.

This is exactly why on a lot of my cards I get a text alert as soon as my card is used, that way its a little quicker to cancel a card if it happens, however lucklily no one is responsinble for fraudelent purchases

I don't have any facebook. I have strong password. I think they used some sort of card number generator. I had problems with USAA credit cards when they first issued the cards. After they changed it, I don't any problem any more. I don't let any one to access all my account.s The crooks always hit with that one. Not any other Amex cards I have. I didn't loss any money. No one lost anything. They need to send a new card.

By the way, it has been over two years since the last hit. It is not too bad.

Ron.
