What will the call the card after Delta and NWA merger

Now that Delta and NWA are merging what will they call the Delta Skymiles Card after the merger? Will it still Delta or some other name for the new card?

Airline Mergers dont normaly work that way, they ususally both keep their Names and their FF prorams are linked someway.

The question what bank will carry if they have a new card U.S Bank or Amex.

Hardly a done deal. According to today's WSJ, they have to formally announce it (after working out union issues and deal terms) and get DOJ approval.

No they are not you cant trasfer miles from one to another. They are all Sky Team Alliance and they allow you to accumulate miles on each others flights. Example If you fly Delta you can use NWA number and collect NWA miles. Once they are in you're NWA account you cannot convert them into Skymiles.

Why dont you try using them? The only way you can use them is on Code Shares use youre skymiles for NWA ticket. I want to see how many NWA tickets you can book with skymiles. You have to book form Delta.Com wich mens their flights come first you cant choose NWA . If a flight is avaialble on another airlines is usually allot more skymiles and its a CODE share. You cannot combine miles and you cannot use skymiles for NWA flights and vise versa unless they a code share and book throu skymiles.

i really don't want to get in the middle of a pi$$ing match, but dw saw the news today about "linking" the ff programs and she scoffed (sp?) and said they are already linked. what that means i don't know. i do know one thing, i've been married long enough to know that since she does it for a living (delta reservations supervisor of some sort) i'm not going to call her on it.

just some info, but really guys i don't have a dog in this fight.
