Amex Green Card Requirements?

Minimum requirements? I am gardening but am having trouble sorting out a lot of threads about this card and am still curious. (scores, AAoA, util, etc.) Thank you for any replies!

Just approved here for Gold (Same requirements as Green) today. I really don't know what my EX score is, but it could be anywhere from 670-720 I'd guess. AAoA 5 years, 1x 90 day late 3 years old, 5-6 30 day lates, 1 within 1 year. Less than 5% UTIL.

Looking at your scores, I'd guess you'll have a good shot, but it's very much an individual scenario.

I just got an amex green. My Myfico score was 710 and i have an average age of accounts at iike 2.4 years. My only bad things on my credit are 3 30 lates, one 60 and a 90 day late from 2008. My utilization was at about 19% and I have 4 inquiries. I was not instanty approved. I apped sometime at night and the next morning I received an email saying I was approved. Of course right after that my score dropped to 688 due to the new acount and I let my $0 balance chase slate report a $44 statement closing. Hope this helps.

Amex Green

Experian : 676

AAOA : 3 years some.

2 charge off in 2008.

AMEX almost always pulls EX, except the times they don't.

Realistically they'll pull EX, where you could get approved if they like what they see, or they could then pull the other two to complete the triple pull if you're borderline. You could get denied in either scenario.

If you really need a charge card then yeah sure go for it but otherwise i wouldnt' recomend on this 1.

You might end up cancel it before AF hit up.

Maybe other charge card with nice sign up bonus.........

Deal on 100K sign up bonus on Platinum and 50K sign up bonus first year fee wavied on SPG. Also, $250 sign up bonus on BCP.

Minimum: 640 FICO, six months on a revolving tradeline.

Some have reported issues having FP as a tradeline but that is about it. As always this is minimum and undoubtedly influenced by individual report data and likely stated income and assets in some form or fashion as well.

I'm personally envious of all the people who have old collections and other negs getting crazy limits . The only negative aspect on my credit reports are too many inquiries which I am working in..Alison my AAoA is relatively low.. Congrats to everyone approved all I can do is hope and improve my report to join you guys with those limits one day

Thank you for all the replies, since no matter what day in 2013 I get (hopefully) approved, it's still 2013 starting so I am going to let what I have age for awhile and revisit this near Nov'13.

Not sure of the requirements but I got approved for the green card I believe Oct or Nov 2012. I dont remember exactly how many baddies I had put I can say its safe to say over 6 and like I said I got approved.

Hello, I just got approved for the AMEX Green Card with credit scores of equifax 650 experian and transunion 652. Fico score 680. I only have two other cards: Capital One $200 Secured Card and $500 Home Depot Consumer Card. I also have one closed account with Capital one Rewards card which I was an authorized user for and the limit was $500. That was my oldest account which was of approximately 6 months. I have paid on time for the length of my credit history (6 months) and have no bankrupts and no collections. Hope this helps anyone applying for one. Also it was not an instant approval. I had to call and check the status that's when I got it approved. I did the application over the phone it seems I am more likely to get approved that way.

The balance on a charge card must be paid in full every month; on a revolver, you must pay at least a minimum amount each month, but you can carry a balance over from one month to the next.
