Today was the first time I accessed the NFCC website and noticed right away the pre-selected option button. After hitting the button I noticed I had been pre-selected for a Cash Back CC.Does this mean I was offered a Pre-approved CC? If I don't take the offer now will the it still be there one month from now?

This is all new to me. A family member earlier had been denied for a NFCC credit card but then NFCC did offer a secured card which my family member accepted. On their pre-selected they were offered the very same secured credit card. The problem which caused that person's denial appeared to have been an issue with a huge amount of inquiries. Nearly 50 inquiries to be exact. Which is a lot.

Thanks

You would have no reason to get denied later on.

If you credit report is in decent shape, and you have an okay income.
Not sure. When ever I get those offers it seems they are there atleast a couple weeks. But as long as your credit doesn't get worse then right now you will be fine. Navy fed is very generous and seem to give everyone a chance. Just don't ever burn them because they never forget.

lol at your impatience...

the offers come and go.....not a "sure thing" but you can pretty much call it that when you have a pre-selected offers from NFCU. The day I got my online access I had a pre-selected offer for the cashRewards card. I applied and was approved for a Visa siggy at $8k.

Good luck!

My Apping temptation seem to have solved it self. I opened the pre-selected offer just to get a better look at the details.A few minutes later left to surf another website and when I returned the offer had dissappeared. I will take that as a sign that Apping right now for a NF CC should wait till march when my collection falls off.

Your over thinking this, NFCU is not your typical lender. Is your equifax score over 620 is the collection more than a year old. From my experiece this means you will be approved. I was approved with a CO and a Collection with a score of 629 for 5k. Now with a score of 692 I have two credit cards one for 10k the other for 5k and navcheck for 5k.

It's very obvious that I am quite gun shy because of the various credit card denials experienced in the last year.I have only been approved by two credit card companies. Chase after three recons was kind enough to approve me for a $500 limit Freedom card which was amazing and allowed to me my first unsecured card since rebuilding. And my second credit card offer came from DCU and the limit was $3K. I later decided not to accept their rewards card. I felt it was the right thing to do because I got an uneasy feeling while communicating with their customer service department. So at this point I probably am over thinking this whole process of attaining credit cards due to past bad experiences.
