I would pay according to interest rate, unless you have a card that you know is going to be coming up for a CLI soon. Like for example right now I'm using my Delta Amex I got this month as heavily as I can and PIF that way I will be in the best shape for a CLI. After I get that CLI my IT card will be eligable in march and I have been carrying a balance a 0% so after my CLI on the AMEX I will use the Discover heavily and PIF it a couple of times before I request a CLI

So I owe $6528 on my Travelocity Amex... Only because I paid off $5600 of a bt then I used another bt check lol...

I want to pay the $6528 in FULL, but I'm slightly worried that Barclay's could AA me... My reports/scores haven't changed; they've increase quite a bit actually since I opened this account in March '12.

Or should I just pay the $2050 which changed to my dreadful 24.99% apr Dec 24th. I've not seen a statement with that rate yet and don't want to. The other $4500 is still at 3.99%.

I just don't want to pony up that much cash at once!!! Lol even though I have it. The last $2700 payment I made was reflected on my account in like two days....
I suppose I could pay off that pesky $1500 bal on my Paypal MC instead of paying $6500+ on that Trav Amex. I try to pay my debts according to their interest rate or PIF!:-)

Advice?

I made a 3000? or something payment to them a while back and they held the available credit. I rang customer service and in less than thirty seconds the hold was lifted. I cannot imagine why they would close an account just because you make a payment to it.

This Barclays intimidates me more than Amex did. People constantly worry about them closing because of new accounts or inquiries but now worry over making a payment? I think I will stay away from them..lol

I cannot imagine they would close for paying in full. I hope not anyway.
