WAMU credit limit increases

I know in the past some on here have mentioned increases and some have not--also I hear that they do not do automatic increases per customer request

If you have gotten an increase what card did you have? Mastercard Visa or other?

How long was it before you got your increase? 3 mos, 6 mos, a year ??????

If you have not gotten an increase--how long have you had the card??????

Are you asking them about it and if so are you getting the same excuse?????

Just curious--I have had one card for around 7 billing cycles and the other for about 3 or 4 billing cycles....I am not pressed on it but definitely interested in knowing

Sometimes its just hard for me to believe my accounts are being periodically reviewed when I was told the same by Household Bank and Capital One for about 4 years now to really have gotten nowhere with great payment history and overall account activity for building my credit!!!

WAMU seems pretty consistant with reviewing every 6 months-

With my WAMU Visa- I had no activity the first 6 months- score was down at 1 year Got a CLI at 18 months-

Just got my WAMU- MC gave me a decent opening limit-

I have the platinum visa( 1 year in May)0 balance

and the ESPN visa ( Nov)0 balance

I asked for CLI 1 Feb.(via Message Center) on the platinum. No lates, paid more than minimum when I carried a balance. ( high balance 1107 on a 2000 limit so that may have hurt)PIF twice and received the standard reply:

Unfortunately, we do not process credit line increases by customer request. We do periodically review your account. If your account qualifies for a higher credit line, we will notify you by mail and the increase will be reflected on your monthly statement.

Please keep in mind that our review process evaluates several factors including:
1. A timely payment history with us and other lenders.
2. Staying within your credit limit.
3. No Returned checks (due to insufficient funds).
4. The age of your account.

With no AF, i am willing to wait. I am curious rather increases require a hard pull. Anyone know?

I have never seen anyone report a hard pull in connection with a WaMu CLI. Hard pulls for CLIs are almost always in connection with a customer-initiated CLI request. WaMu doesn't do those.
