How high does the Walmart Store Card Limit go?

I'm asking because I just called the back door number and they raised my credit limit from $9,500 to $12,500. I'm curious to know what, if any, the ceiling is on this card.

Good question - This is good to know in general for GE cards as well. When was your last CLI?

Good question - This is good to know in general for GE cards as well. When was your last CLI?

My last increase was around Thanksgiving I believe. I first got this card in September of 2012 with a $700.00 limit. Four months later it is at $12,500.

WOW! Thats really nice CL!! Hopefully they will upgrade you to the Discover if you dont have it yet

I already have DiscoverIT so I really dont need another discover. This Walmart card has been EXCELLENT for utilization. I have never been turned down for an increase via the backdoor. It went from 700>3000>6000>9500>12500 in 4 months!

Wow, that's quite a history of increases in such a short period of time. Congratulations!

I got my Walmart Discover in November with a starting limit of $3,600. I guess I need to be more proactive and pick up the phone to ask for some LUV.

I also wonder how high the limit can go? I think we have a member here with a Walmart CL of $15,000 or so?

10k is usually what they like to claim is the limit, so i doubt you'll really get much higher than this now, I think the highest I've heard personally is 15k

Well we know 10k isn't the max since I'm at 12.5k currently. I was looking for you regarding my AMEX Hilton HHonors and how to maximize the benefits there!

That is a GE underwriter number, it will also work with other GE card. I used same number for Paypal Extras Plat MC also.

An underwriter told me a few months ago that the "official" limit for the Walmart store card is $6,000. The only way to go any higher is through an underwriter.

Which is technically true because we all call GE underwriters to get an increase each time

That's insane! How could anyone possibly spend that much at Walmart? It's the store card and not the discover, right?
