American Express Hilton for bad Credit??

Just wondering has anyone with bad credit score of 620- 680 getting a Hilton Hhonor Surpass form AMX lately?? Going to stay at hilton for few day in march, and I want a Hilton card for it.

I just was approved for the Surpass HIlton Amex with a score of 667. I have had my Zync for around 8ish months and consistently run around $3-$4k a month through the account. For what is it worth I made my first purchase on Saturday and just today recieved my 40k Hilton Honors Points, very fast from what i have seen. YMMV if you are not a current card member i have heard that recieving a revolver is tougher than recieving a Charge card, then again they only gave me a $1k limit which i can hopefully get up to $3k at the 61 day mark.

I mistakenly applied this month with the scores in my siggy. They triple pulled me ending with a denial (TU) for too many inq's and balance not high enough- I had an app spree in Oct/Nov that consisted mostly of GE cards. I should have apped for a charge card instead but I was so excited after receiving my Discover It approval I got greedy.

I will wait until my new accts season and those inq's are a year old. YMMV

If you are not a current or former cardmember i would pry hold off on apping, scores are only a part of the equation. I had probably 6-7 inq on my CR at the time but i banked more on my current relationship with Amex when it came to getting approved for the Hilton Amex.

I applied with the scores below (see my signature) and was declined, but I also had no history with AMEX. Just prior, I had applied for Green and was approved. As always YMMV, as the previous poster stated, score is only part of the analysis.

there is not really a such think as an American Express for bad credit, regardless of your score if you're last baddie is 3-4 years old and your utilization is low you can most likely get approved for a charge card.... use it for 3-6 months and from there you will be able to get a revolver with a lower limit and work your way up.
