How often does Chase update their signup offer?

I received a random $300 bonus off last year for the Chase Freedom. Since then, I only get the $100 bonus. Has anyone else ever seen the $300 offer? Have you seen them update the signup offer?

They come and go and it's unpredictable. I haven't seen the $300 offer since last year.
