AMEX BCE reward dollars

Hi, I just got my AMEX BCE recently and my closing date was yesterday. I went to track my reward dollars but it said $0?? When do the rewards usually show up? The website said they will show up after your first billing cycle but my billling cycle ended yesterday..

On my BCP at least, they are always a month in arrears. So the December statement shows the November rewards (which were mainly earned in Oct) etc.

So my second statement just cut and my reward dollars STILL says "0"....

Yes, I should have amplified my earlier post. So what happens is that the rewards are paid a month in arrears, AND, they take a few days to show up.

So my statement closed Jan 16th. The statement was available on the site around Jan 19. The rewards showed $3.22 (which is the balance after redemption last month). Then on Jan 22, it went up to $131.xx. So about a week after the close date.

It really will work, they could do a better job of setting expectations. I don't see why there needs to be a delay between statement posting and reward posting, since the reward is from the previous month.

Ah, okay, thanks for the information. I'm just used to my other cards posting my cashback/points once my statement is available. I'm not exactly the most patient person either, lol. But good to know that it takes a few days. I thought AMEX forgot about me!

I got my sign up bonus of $100 on my BCE almost immediately after hitting the $1K spend. But the reward dollars from the first statement didn't appear until after my second statement cut.

Yea AMEX is real slow to post. Barclays posts in about two days.
