Hey there!

Ive read just about every thread on this. However, I just want your opinion regarding my situation.

My fico EQ is 631, experian 674, and TU about 640.

My income is about 45-50k.

Unfortunately, I have one collection account that is $1500, which i have paid 1400 of, so one month left on it. Then i have a couple 5-6 year old paid, charge offs.

Dont have a chase account.

have 10+ inquires. (didnt know until recently that it was a problem!) I used to apply wherever, whenever. oops!

I have read chase doesnt like any Baddies, and wants over 700 scores and ive read they pull experian or eq.

My past 3+ years are perfect payments I have 4 cc and 4 store cards.

utilization about 15% total

Thats what ive read. BUMMER!! ive sent out GW letters so we'll see if any of that helps

Sorry to be so negative man but I don't think chase is going to give you a card when you have a current charge off, you're probably going to need to pay it and wait 3-4 years with perfect payment history and low utilization before you will be able to get a card from Chase

Ryan they gave me a card with a charge off from 2009 so its entirely possible. Even if they give you a toy limit, it gets you in the door and you can grow that card

ok so that's from 3 years ago and goes right along with my advise when i said he needed to pay the charge off and wait 3-4 years to apply with Chase

I have perfect payment history, low utilization, AAoA of 6 years with a 13 year history, and a 715 score and my only negative was a paid charge off from almost 7 years ago.

I had to apply twice over 6 months and recon multiple times to get a card from chase, I can assure you they won't give someone a card with a open derog on their report

Oh I didnt see untill now he has a open collection on his account. Ryan is right I had to recon both my chase cards and probably got it because I was in the Military and there all hoorrraahhh about being able to serve the military community.

you need to pay that charge off before you app for anything, no prime lender is going to approve you with a open C/O

and if you somehow slip through you would end up with a toy limit that won't grow, i have been down that road and know from experience

pay your c/o off, wait a few months and do some research

how long has your account with cap 1 been opened?

I really dont know the slate and the freedom are not easy cards to get and there the easiest to get IMO
