Cash + redemption

I am redeeming my cash + cashback for the first time. How quickly would I get the US bank visa card? Is it worth doing that over the statement credit? I have 124.50 to redeem. I don't care which way is better, except that I want to know which is faster.

I don't have any experience with that particular card, buy every card I have the statement credit is good in 1-2 days.... I'm betting that would be the quickest way by far

The fine print said that the credit wouldn't show until my new statement next month. I was wondering if the card would get here in a week or 2. I get my Discover gift cards pretty darn quick.

with cash+ if you redeem 100 dollars or more you get a 25 dollar cash card.

Are you sure the fine print isnt referencing when the credits - as in rewards - would appear? My BCE cash rewards dont post until the statement closes.

Thanks. I'm trying to find out if it is quicker to get all of the other cash back in a rewards card or a statement credit.

Do you have a checking or savings account with US Bank? That is the fastest way to get your rewards money. I have mine transferred to my savings account and it happens instantaneously. They send out the $25 rewards card, ( after you accumulate $100 in rewards first ), by mail and that usually takes about 2 weeks. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I closed my checking and savings with them years ago because they ticked me off when someone robbed my account through one of their atms. I may just go for the rewards cards. That way I will have the money 2 weeks quicker.

Only 2 weeks? Wow. That has not been my experience at all. My $25 bonus gift cards (I just redeemed another $100 for my 6th bonus $25) are taking much closer to 6 weeks to arrive in my mail box. I guess this is a YMMV type of thing. Fortunately, I do have checking & savings with US Bank, so I do get the $100 cash back credited to my checking or savings instantly. But if I was OP and wanted my rewards as fast as possible, I kind of think a statement credit will be quicker.

Not to thread jack, but has anyone been able to take the $25 gift card into a local branch and cash it out? With some other Visa gift cards we have received, I was able to take them into my local branch and get the cash off of the gift card and I would deposit the money into my checking account. With one of the $25 Visa gift cards, I went into a Safeway store US Bank branch (not my normal branch) and they said I could not pull the cash off the gift card. I am wondering what makes the gift card different from others?

with the cash+ card, do you have the option to redeem into a non-USBank acct?

with Chase Freedom, since i don't have a Chase checking/savings acct, i am able to redeem my cash rewards into my local CU acct (almost instantaneous)

I have been doing statement redemption for the $100 and gift card for the $25. The gift card takes about 6 weeks to arrive, and I use it at the grocery store to pay part of the bill. The $100 credit is for the next month as you already said. I think the #1 way to get the most out of the redemption is to get it deposited into an account -- every time you use a gift card or statement credit, you are losing out on that cash back (I'm pretty sure cash back is adjusted based on credits). But since there are no US Bank branches in my state and I don't want to open up a new account, I just do the statement credit/card combo.

statement credit post to my account in 2 days, have no idea about bonus card, as i have not get then yet (requested on Jan 10 and 25)
