When to request a cli from PenFed

I opened the account back on october with a credit limit of 6.5k.Its been 4 months since i opened the account and my score has increase 690 to 738 lenders pull fico

I have spend more then 10k in charges and always paid in full.Can i request for a cli now? and do i have a chance?

You can't request a CLI until after the 1 yr mark and then it will be a HP

i would personally wait till all of your accounts are at least 6 months old. and when you have a minimal amount of inquries effecting your score.

i just meant for the op. not for the general.

in many posts he has stated many new inq due to apping and getting other cli, and being denied by some banks.

so if his last new account was today, and his penfed was october id still wait until after august

he would still have to wait until october. as pointed out, but he would be in a much better position (hopefully)

My new accounts are 4 months old and i dont wanna risk getting the penfed closed down. if i request the cli and penfed see all the new accounts

I understand that........ What i am saying is, PenFed will not even talk about a CLI until you have been with them 1 year....

I guess i was wondering if anyone has had any succes with getting a cli early then 1 yr mark.I app for the citi got approved and even thought they say u have to wait 6 months for the cli i got it in 3 days through online request.They did a hard pull

did you forget already all the times citi denied you(just for the card)? obviously its not the rule but the exception.

Yea i rmember that.So in your opinion i should just go to the garden for now and lets give it 8 more months..I dont wanna cause any problems with PenFed.They are a very good lender and i have the autoloan with them from october with 1.49%

Penfed CS told me that it has to be 1 yr. and they stick by that . No And, if's or but's

Man you have a nice line off CC, why not just be satisfied and garden them all for a while? Poking the bears to much could hurt you in the long run. Just my 2 cents ...

I just call them.They said 6 months and my penfed is golden for 20k

They are gonna look at my account in april and if the credit is good as when the account was opened they will approve for 20k

One more thing before everyone jumps,They dont normaly do this for everyone but because of my payment history 3k every month and the autoloan duble payments every month

They say i am good to go.These were CSR not mine
