topic Does AMEX open a Blue account automatically for a charge card? in Credit Cards

I have been having this question for a long time. My first AMEX card was personal Gold charge card, then I upgraded it to personal Platinum charge card a long time ago. I don't enroll in flexible payment option such as Sign & Travel. When I open my Membership Rewards Statement website, I see two Blue accounts enrolled (and of course Platinum card). And I keep getting banner ads saying "Add someone to your Blue account". Do they open a Blue account secretly for each charge card you have? Thanks in advance.

Message Edited by tkshk on 02-27-2008 02:50 PM

That is strange. They might have approved them with out your knowledge. Or they might have sent a guaranteed approval in the mail you probably throw it away and Amex added the accounts any way. Check with Amex and find out what is going. I'll be curious to find out how it happend.

You have never got any mail about a blue account? a statement with a zero balance or anything? That is odd.
