Amex - advice

I am sure this was discussed a lot before, but what do you guys recommend the best way to check and see if one is blacklisted by Amex?

They were suggestions to apply for a card and see how they respond. If so, which card to apply for? Charge card or revolver?

app for the card, if denied you'll get a hard pull, if blacklisted you'll get a soft pull and denied, if accepted you'll get a hardpull

I doubt there will be a pull if blacklisted. It should be an instant denial.

Amex doesn't do SP on credit applications, if any it will be a HP.

i have 2 hard inq on EX in tha past 2 years!

What's your file like?

Easiest cards to go for are the Delta Gold and/or the Green Charge card.

Cap One - $5000 open 3 years

US Bank Cash + $10000 open for 3 years

BOA - $3000 Open for 2 years

Discover - $4500 Open for 2 months

Auto loan Opened with in 6 months

Utilization is around 2%

Update: I did apply for BCE and got declined. I called the new accounts dept, and they said it is because of my defaulted account about 9 years ago.

Oh well, atleast I know that I am blacklisted. Hope I didn't get a HP.

if your blacklisted you won't get a hardpull, but you should pay ever cent back if you ever want another amex again

I will check experian and see if I got a hardpull!
