I told myself I'd garden.. but the suspense of knowing if I'll get approved for a card has caused me to wanting to apply for one more card. And that card is Citi Forward Student. I want to know who they generally pull. EQ is my cleanest (fewest inquiries) and being as though I got denied from Discover because of too many inqs, I feel that I have a good chance if Citi pulls EX or EQ, but really EQ. On EQ, it says my most recent inq was a student loan for 12/12, yet on hard inquiries, it showed that Cap One was the most recent. Aside from those 2, I have 3 inquries from 7/2011, 8/2011, and 12/2011. So there's no way they can say too many inquiries in the past 12 months, because it's only been 2. But I do have 12,000 in student loans on EQ that have been deferred. Are my student loans enough for me to be denied?

My brother applied for the Discover Open Road Student (which is magically just a regular Open Road...oh well!) with student loans and got a $5000 limit on that! So it definitely doesn't scare most creditors away as long as they're either deferred and/or on time.
